Final Blog post
My favorite project this semester is the personal narrative because I wrote something very core of what made me who I am today. Also the narrative showed me how much sports changed my life and how much I've grown. I least like the i-search paper mainly because I've never done one before and I didn't know what it was suppose to look like. I have learned how to write an i-search paper and also how do MLA citations and formatting. Most importantly that it never pays to procrastinate on anything because papers need to be analyzed multiple times. I wished I learned how to do research for a very large paper that is at least 50 pages for future classes. The research paper we did in class was a good platform to start on I wish I learned to find more detail for a narrow topic.
Android
Android because they’re cheaper and most of their phones you can replace the BATTERY! The iphone is good for music and texting but that’s all to it’s advantages over android. Androids phones can replace the battery if your other one dies or it’s not recharging. The operating system on the iphone is not the greatest quality, more that half of it’s users seem to complain about the new ios. I have an ipod and an Android phone so I know the core layout for both pretty well and I like the freedom of the Android much better.
Imgur
Besides social media sites (Twitter, Facebook, etc), what other websites do you frequently visit?
I just recently been using Imgur which is a website/app that people post Gifs and pictures with captions that are usually funny, entertaining ,sad, controversial, and weird. True to this website as well, cat rule the internet and they’re hilarious. The controversial post are usually about topics in the news that need to be talked about and most people on Imgur are open minded people to everything. That’s why I love the app because people are not afraid to say what they want to say.
A Good Book.
Fahrenheit 451 is an easy read I had to read in my intro to lite class that I enjoyed very much. The book is about the basic concept of if society was strictly controlled and if you resented the government what would you do? I like the store for the survival aspect the main character experienced throughout the week that changed his life for forever. And the book is fictional but could very easily be a reality in today’s world. An I like the idea of being out matched and fighting with little chance of success the character has little of. It wasn't fictional poems or sonnets it was a concept that could be very real which is why I liked the book.
Vanilla
Vanilla of course because in the terms of ice cream more than half has vanilla in it. You know why because it’s the best! Also since it goes with every flavor even chocolate...funny how that works. You can never get sick of the taste of Vanilla it’s the base of every ice cream. That’s like being sick of water it’s just not going to happen. People can get sick over eating chocolate but you never hear stories of getting sick out Vanilla. You can’t even feed chocolate to your dog but it can eat all the vanilla ice cream it wants. It’s Vanilla hands down and just proved it…(mic drop)
Creative or Not
I’m not particularly creative in the sense of paintings and music, I have no ability to create original music or drawing. I enjoy those things but I’m not able to create something original off the top of my head. I am creative of how to entertain myself if I’m bored. If I have nothing to do I might fiddle with something like a coin or a ball by tossing in the air and making a mini game out of it. You make call that childish but at least I don’t continue being bored. Other than trying to control my low tension span with a game no I’m not creative. The low tension span is probably why I’m not a creative person I always want to being doing something and to be able to create art or music you need patience which I have none. So that’s another reason why I’m not a creative person.
My Major?
I would love to tell you my major only if I knew what I wanted to do. Being my first year I didn't have any clue what I want to major in so I jMust took general course to get them out of the way. Originally it was going to involve chemistry but after this semester I never want to take a chemistry class again. I also tried biology which was alright but very difficult so next I’m going to try physics and see if I like that. After that if I don’t like that i’m not sure what I’m going to do. I like math but also love history which do not mix at all that i’m aware of. So that’s why I’m at KCC to find out what I want to do with my life, hopefully I’ll find something by next year.c
Obsessed shows!
I've started watching Parks and Recreation on Amazon Prime since the show is over and it’s Awesome.
Ron F#%King Swanson! Also i’m obsessed with the walking dead because obvious reasons. At first I didn't understand watching the walking dead until two seasons ago and I've been hooked on the bad-ass Zombie slaying show ever since. Then Parks and Recreation is just really funny and I can binge watch the show whenever which makes it a good reason to watch. Other than that I’m not obsessed with any other shows, especially shows like survivor and American Idol, they’re all awful, just saying.

Tragic event
In 2012 during the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting I believe I was home from school for a couple hours when I saw it on the news. I immediately thought how could someone especially a kid do something like that
it was terrifying. It was the only thing the school talked about the next day over how shocking it was to everyone. It just goes to show how jacked up some people are in this world and makes question others that dismiss gun restrictions without thinking of situations like these. I couldn't imagine the families of the victims had felt and makes me feel grateful that my family is safe.
Movie Review
The best movie I've seen recently was the Avengers but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it. BTW you should definitely go see it, It was Amazing. So I’ll describe Robocop the new one since it’s been out for almost a year and it was alright. It had a typical good cop gets injured and comes back to fight evil corporation and wins at the end to save the family. It was a good entertainment filler late at night but it was definitely not a must see movie like the Avengers...just saying. So I give it a 6 for ok story but not terrible.
High school Readings
I enjoyed the short story “The Most Dangerous Game” not only because it was short but it was about survival. I enjoy stories where characters use their instincts to fight off the enemy and in this story another person. I really did not enjoy reading Great Expectations mainly because it was an very old story based on a time period couple hundred years ago. Also the lesson of the story could have been stated so much quicker than the 400 pages it was. I would have enjoyed a survival book that look much better that The Great Expectations.
What makes a good story?
A story is an event that has an intro over characters and a situation that are in conflict. What makes a good story is the difficult part since there are so many different ways stories can be told. Most people like a nice intro with a conflict affecting the main character where the spend the whole movie fighting against it and eventually winning making a happy ending. Others like twist and suspense to keep you guessing and drawn in compared to the most stories that are predictable. Personally I like stories that can be true and could happen to me or one that makes me keep guessing. That’s what I would say what makes a good general story.
SuperBowl Weekend
I’m going to play catch up a little. Superbowl weekend was crazy with the giant amounts of snow and with the super bowl. I drove over to western to hang out with a few of my friends who go there which was Saturday. I drove over that Saturday night to get to the hockey game which was awesome. My friend was MVP of the Student section with his cowbell, Will ferrell would of been proud.(SNL) The next day I was going to drive home though I decided to stay for the game, which I was going to leave after that but i was already snowed in. At the beginning of the game we ordered delivery from Pizza. We waited till 2 in the morning and then they finally called to say our order was canceled. Apparently 4 cars in ditches was an a legitimate excuse. So we ended up staying up all night and I didn't arrive home till 3 in the afternoon on that Monday.
Favorite songs
Asking a person who’s their favorite artist or their favorite band is not an easy question. It’s almost impossible to pin it down to one group, at least for myself it is, though I can name my favorites. Foo Fighters is definitely one of my favorite bands, one of the few bands I actually listen to whole albums instead of individual songs. Sum 41 is a punk rock band that I like many of their songs whom which are very different than Foo Fighters which is why it’s difficult to pin down a favorite band. Then also love AC/DC which is completely different from either one of them so that’s why I can not choose a favorite band. Picking a favorite song is also impossible to choose with having 10 different ones. Such as “Everlong”- Foo Fighters,
“Walking Disaster”- Sum 41, “It’s Been Awhile”- Staind, “Boulevard of Broken Dreams”- Green Day. I have many more I could name but that would take all day, mainly i’m like any nineteen year old, I love my music and my ipod.
Taste in Music
My taste in music is determined by what mood I’m in, mostly I usually listen to rock either way. I listen to 90’s alternative rock if it’s just a normal day, such as Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Nirvana, The Offspring, Creed, typical 90’s music. I also listen to classic rock such as AC/DC, Guns N’ Rose, Led Zeppelin, Whitesnake, Metallica, Def Leppard, older music that no other 19 old kid listens to. If i’m angry or i'm exercising I usually listen to harder rock such as Metallica or Godsmack. Or if i'm relaxed or tired i'll listen to Pearl Jam or Foo Fighters. My music type just sways with the type of mood in but usually it’s a certain form of rock. Not to say I’m against other types of music, I can listen to pretty much all types of music. I’m not a country or rap hatter like lots of people but I just prefer rock.
